This is a Nice and Early Example of a Steel String Alvarez Yairi, this is actually the Earliest I have EVER Seen from Yairi! Which means that Yairi Himself for sure had his hands on this Build!!!!! He started out in the 60's with his Family as a Highly Trained Classical Guitar Builder and that is what Alvarez Had him do 1st, You can Find Some Alvarez Yairi classical guitars dated as early as 1970 or 1971 and you can find even earlier Kazou Yairi Classical Guitars with other Branding like CBS Masterworks, But you won't find any steel String Guitars until 1972 BESIDES THIS ONE! because I believe in 1971 Alvarez had Kazou Yairi here in the States being trained on how to make American Style Steel String Guitars for the 1st time so his little shop could start making the high end Japanese Alvarez Guitars and Boy Did He! This one had a Refret about 20 years ago, and still has a ton of life in them, I Leveled, Crowned and polished then to perfection!! And it shows in how well this one Plays!!.PRO-SET-UP I have her playing super sweet with action well below my normal set-up because it simply came together awesome and now plays its best since made!!
